You’ve likely landed on this page because you feel that the depth, complexity, and beauty of your wholeness doesn’t fit or isn’t honored in our society. Let’s walk alongside each other to honor and explore your culture, your identities, and your story.
I specialize in working with queer and gender diverse, Arab/SWANA, and 1st and 2nd generation immigrant adults, however, I welcome all intersectional experiences. Folks typically work with me to address anxiety related concerns, identity exploration, identity-based stress and trauma, intergenerational trauma and cultural conflict, family/relationship concerns, and general life transitions.
I view clients as the expert of their experience, and as collaborators in the therapy process. I prioritize informed consent, building trust and safety, integrity, openness, compassion, spaciousness, and expansiveness. I'll integrate relevant techniques that focus on acceptance (not avoidance) of difficult feelings and thoughts, attunement to physical sensations, self-compassion, and remaining present. We'll celebrate your presence and navigate difficulties together.
Community is also at the center of my work and I believe that much of our healing occurs outside of the therapy room through our relationships with others.
Clients and colleagues describe me as down-to-earth, present, engaged, active, accepting, genuine, supportive, and someone who integrates joy and celebration into the hard work of psychotherapy.
I'd love to learn more about you and discuss a path forward in service of your growth and healing. My priority is connecting you with care that fits your needs and preferences - so even if we don't align, I can share additional referrals and other options.
I'm grateful and excited to do this work with you!
